The changing of the seasons is such a gift to our bodies and beings, right? I love this so much. As someone who struggles to stop, and even struggles to nap or rest because my mind won't give up its incessant worry, I will come back to your words here to know I'm not alone and to know that the world holds us.
Ever since reading your comment a few days ago, I've returned time and time again to your phrase, "the world hold us." Thank you for this affirmation and reminder.
Ahh the timing of this. So hard to let go of the pressure of achieving. I recently realized that the next few months (at least) is not a time to host/lead/facilitate spaces but for therapy and just building more friendships with people who are where I'm at spiritually. Uncomfortable but I'm sensing it's necessary.
Thank you for sharing! Your words and thoughts always resonate.
Nineesha! I love hearing the clarity you have about your next season. What a gift.
I had a friend recently tell me that I'm achievement-oriented, and while I've known that to be true for a long time, having a friend simply say it was an encouragement to me. It helped me to realize that it's not a bad thing. It's a skill. But like all skills, it requires discernment to know when to lean into it and when to take a break. I find the fall season to be a great time to lean out of external achievement and to focus on internal, more hidden aspects of life. Nature's seasons are such supportive guides!
