I do find that artists tend to have a bit more comfort with darkness and even uncertainty. It’s like the creative process requires surrender to mystery. What type of novels do you write?

I write family sagas set in 19th century America. My latest is about a young man trying to save his father’s farm from ruin during the Civil War. It’s about his sacrificial love for his family and about our agricultural heritage too. I love complex family dynamics πŸ₯°
