This Week In the Garden: March 2024

Hello Dear Friends,
Here in The Garden as we have three experiences being facilitated this week! My apologies for the relatively late notice. If you’re ever wondering what’s coming up, you can always check out the Google Calendar which is available the welcome email for paid subscribers. If you can’t find it, let me know. Otherwise, keep reading to see what this week in The Garden has in store.

3/19 Seasonal Examen: Welcoming the Spring Equinox
Tuesday, March 19th - 8:00 PM EST
Intention: to reflect on the past season
The Seasonal Examen is a quarterly pause in which we reflect on the gifts and challenges of the past three months. We reflect on any clarity brought on by the winter season and survey the landscapes of our lives for newness and beginnings. This contemplative pause is perfect for you if you’ve felt like the world is spinning and life is moving too quickly. I’m personally looking forward to slowing down and beginning to wrap my mind around how much has changed over the past few months. Join us.
3/22 Lectio Divina - Live - In the Gospel of John
Friday, March 22nd - 10:00 AM EST
Intention: to encounter the Divine in the Scriptures
This contemplative prayer time will be live! We’ll be moving through the four stages of lectio divina as we sit with a passage in the Gospel of John. You can read more about lectio divina here. I know I said I’d be pre-recording these (which I still intend to do) but I’ll be working from home this Friday and would love to gather in community with those who are available.
3/23 Group Spiritual Direction
Saturday, March 23rd - 11:00 AM EST
Intention: to encounter the Divine in ourselves & one another
This contemplative space will feature a short reflections on slowness and embodiment at the start of a new season. Following personal reflection time, each person will be invited to share what’s stirring within them. We will then go around the virtual circle and share how we are each hearing and noticing the holy in what each individual shares. As a note, sharing is not forced or required; you can always pass. This is great opportunity to practice contemplation and listening alongside others on the journey.
Zoom Links are forthcoming and will be available below.
