The shortest day on the wheel of the year is tomorrow: the winter solstice.
A true coldness has finally struck here in Middle Georgia, and I am glad. Wintertime preparations around Cedar Wilde (our homestead) include refilling propane tanks, blanketing our growing vegetables with row cover to help them survive frost, and setting up brood lights to keep our well house warm through the night. We also are in the throes of celebrating Christmas, wrapping gifts, singing songs, and of course watching The Holiday for the millionth time.
For today’s post, the invitation is given for you to take a few moments to share what wintertime preparations and celebrations look like for you and those you love.
